I have a video of an event (a debate with four participants) which consists of 14 segments. Each segment ranges from 5 to 12 minutes long. I would like it to be possible for people to read a description of, and watch a particular segment --which suggests that I should upload each as a separate file. But it would also be nice if a viewer could watch or download the entire event as one long video. To do this, suggests I would have to combine all segments into one file for uploading.

Is there a suggested way to achieve both? i.e. organize the segments so people can easily goto and watch a particular segment, yet still be able to view or download the whole thing?

There are several ways to do this. First off though, be sure that you have the rights to actually post the content.

I would suggest the following:

Create one file for each segment and add each one as its own movie. Each one will then have a details page.

At this point you could put a link on each details page to each other details page. AND/OR you could create one long clip, upload that as well, add that, and link it around.

Make sense?
